Research: How I learned to photoshop
Photoshop
Learning Photoshop for a school project turned out to be
a much bigger challenge than I thought. I had tried Photoshop before, but my
knowledge was rusty, and I couldn't remember most of what I had learned. Here's
how I managed to relearn Photoshop and complete my project, despite the hurdles
along the way.
I started my way with a lot of motivation. I knew that
mastering Photoshop would not only help me with my school project but also open
up new creative possibilities. However, I had to begin almost from scratch.
My primary resources became YouTube videos and online
guides. These tutorials ranged from the very basics, like cropping and resizing
images, to more advanced techniques such as using layers and blending modes.
The step-by-step instructions and visual demonstrations in these resources were
invaluable in helping me grasp the fundamentals of Photoshop.
Yet, learning Photoshop wasn't so easy. For every
successful edit, there were numerous failed attempts. I often found myself
repeating the same steps several times before I could get them right.
Despite the setbacks, I wanted to finish at least one
project. I spent to many hours practicing and honing my skills to just leave
the project unfinished!
As I persisted, I began to understand the intricacies of
Photoshop. Concepts like layers, brushes, and filters was no longer new to me.
I learned how to manipulate images, enhance colours, and create visually
appealing compositions. My project, started to go the way I wanted it to go.
In the end, I completed my project with a newfound knowledge
about Photoshop. This journey taught me a lot of useful skills which I can use
in the future.
