Preliminary task: Reflection of the whole

 Reflection

At the beginning I was struggling to find the correct product to advertise but as I researched, I had a few ideas. I wanted to do a product I already know a lot about. My options were a gaming pc, a gaming mouse which I own myself and my favorite keyboard. In the end I choice my favorite keyboard. First I did some drafts how I wanted to set up my advert page and after I also did a mood board. This was a new way of planing for me but I liked it very much because it gave me an idea of what colours I could use and whih fonts were fitting. Both of these helped me a lot in designing my advert page in the end. I already decided early that the best website to design such a page in Canva because it has a lot of tools and other features which can help you to create an advert. I went which the Brochure (29.7 × 21 cm) because it already had good measure for a magazine double page. At first, I wanted to do 2 adverts one for a gaming keyboard and one for a gaming mouse but at the end it was too much work, so I dropped the idea with the gaming mouse and focus myself on the keyboard. I created a word document where I just copied and wrote down everything which was important to know about the keyboard. I already knew a lot about it but the research was very useful to fully understand why this is the best gaming keyboard in the world. When started designing my page I went with a orange background and plain fonts like on the website where the keyboard is sold. I also put a lot of detailed information on the page like reaction times and other important data about the keyboard. This would be useful for somebody who knew a lot about keyboards already but for the normal gamer it could be very hard to understand. After I worked two or 3 hours on the page, I saw that my background choice and texts on the page were just not that what I wanted. I decided to start over completely and get a new modern background whit modern font and a more simple design. I went with a black sand background and a galaxy theme because for me it represens a modern and futuristic style. My fonts are now more futuristic, and I tried to stick to a black basic design for the pictures and their frames. I also put a lot less text on the page which made it more clean and clear. After I finished the main work with the different designees and keyboard description I started adding approval logos or awards on the bottom. At the left corner I added the logo of the brand which made the keyboard and put a discount link besides it. I scaled everything down a bit and I finished my work.
It was a lot of work but I am happy with the results. I really liked that I could let my creativity out and that I had no restrictions. In conclusion it was a fun project which took a lot of time but it was worth it at the end.
